  • Primary

    • Suggestions for Music and Drama activities (Primary)

Creative tasks to use in Music and Drama, with the potential for sharing them with others in an Assembly. The poems, used as a stimulus, could also be read in an English lesson. The Oneg Shabbat and Hugo Gryn case studies are used here but the other case studies would also be a good starting point.

    • Dance Activities (Primary)

The complete outline of a movement and dance workshop for primary students linked with the Legacy of Hope. It contains ideas to help your students to explore related themes of “Loss” (of freedom), “Hope”, “Equality” and “Strength and Survival”.

    • An assembly of promises for a Legacy of Hope (upper primary/lower secondary)

An assembly for 9 to 14 year old students which explores the meaning of the Legacy of Hope and links it with the stories of three survivors and the hopes which students have for a fair and inclusive society. A script is provided for 4 students and a teacher plus a power-point presentation which contains pictures of the survivors. At the end of the assembly students create a display of promises to remind them of their own reflections on the Legacy of Hope.

    • A Song/Poem For Infants (Age 5-7)

These simple verses help children to think about being kinder to each other and making their school a place where all are welcome. In this case you could talk about The Legacy of Hope as a promise made to send a gift of kindness into the future.
